WORK/ LIFE BALANCE
Being a leader in the industry we know all too well that the veterinary world has challenges in maintaining a good work/ life balance. We work hard to ensure that our team members are able to have a fulfiling life outside of work as well as enjoying the the beautiful country we live in.
Most of our full-time team members have a 4-day week schedule. This means that you can get an extra day during the week to tidy up those personal tasks that usually have to wait for the weekend.

EXCEPTIONAL
FAMILY CULTURE
VSA might be larger than a typical veterinary clinic, with 3 specialist hospitals across New Zealand, but we focus on our people and a family-based culture remains firmly in place.
We care passionately about the work we do, and the people we work with, driving our collective motivation and strive for excellence.

GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT
Supporting and training our team members to be the best in their chosen field is something we are proud of. Every year we offer intern and mentorship programmes to young veterinarians and support veterinary development at all levels within our hospitals.
Our nurses are encouraged to engage with continuing professional development (CPD) programmes and we have a long history of supporting trainee veterinary nurses.

BEACHES, ROLLING HILLS & RAINFORESTS
NEW ZEALAND HAS IT ALL
New Zealand has often been at the top of people’s lists of places to emigrate to. For us, it’s no surprise why. We have a temperate climate, phenomenal beaches, beautiful countryside, ski resorts and all with great weather that helps us to get out and enjoy it.
Striking the perfect balance for work-life-balance and mental wellbeing is important for us at VSA and we are lucky to live in a part of the world where we have beautiful spots to escape to. So, whether trekking through the countryside, surfing, skiing or just relaxing at the beach with a good book is your jam, our hospitals are all only a stone’s throw away from all of this.
Our Auckland hospitals are situated in a vibrant city – the biggest in New Zealand. Within just an hours drive you can be at beautiful vineyards, the calm beaches around Auckland and the Coromandel or the surf centres of the west coast, the ‘jungle’ walks in the Waitakere ranges and just a few hours drive from Taupo and the ski resort at Ruapehu.
Christchurch brings a different vibe again with a fresh and upbeat feel. Access to all that the beautiful South Island has to offer is on your doorstep including a varied coastline, ski resorts and some of the most well-known beauties our country has including Fjiordland, Queenstown and ‘The Sounds’.
Have we convinced you yet? We think NZ is the place to be, and so if you are looking for a Vet Job in our beautiful country, get in touch with us.
